Overview

Panorama Resources of Australia, also active in the Democratic Republic of Congo as operator on the Kakanda copper/cobalt project, has mandated affiliate Auvista to explore the 960 square kilometres property in the north-west of Congo, near Mousendjo which has potential for gold, diamonds, bauxite and tantalite discoveries. Panning in the Makayo area had shown very high gold values while in the Zanaga area, the bush has begun to be cleared to allow access to a greenstone belt where early samples showed good gold values.

Other Minerals

Congo has small reserves of copper, gold, iron ore, lead and potash rock.
