Renfreight and Circle International South Africa merged their local operations in May 1998 to form Renfreight Circle (Pty) Ltd. In March 2001, Bidvest increased its stake in Renfreight Circle (Pty) Ltd to 100% by purchasing the outstanding 20% shareholding in South Africa’s biggest freight and logistics company, from US-based Circle International. Renfreight Circle has been renamed Renfreight and has entered into an Overseas Agency Agreement with Panalpina of Switzerland.
Renfreight operates from 16 branches nation-wide and serves all the country’s main ports including Johannesburg – the only recognised inland port on the continent. 900 local and 3000 international qualified professionals offer their support in developing and assisting in seeking solutions to grow their clients business.
